KNFB Reader is a mobile application designed as an assistive technology for people who are blind or visually impaired. It uses Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to capture printed text through a smartphone camera and convert it into speech or readable text.

The app was developed through collaboration between the National Federation of the Blind (NFB) and Ray Kurzweil (Kurzweil Technologies). It is available on both Android and iOS devices.

Once a user takes a picture of a document, the app quickly processes it and reads the text aloud, making printed materials accessible without needing sight.
